BEST SPEECH FROM R ASHOK DY CM AT `EVEREADY BOYS` LAUNCH
Posted date: 25 Wed, Jul 2012 ? 07:59:06 AM

One of the busiest politicians today with flamboyant style R Ashok, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka in an unprepared speech made lovely observations. Some of them the Kannada cinema industry should imbibe and put in to practice.

Heeding to the KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar urge to name a road after Narasimharaju, Depyt Chief Minister said for parallel to humor Narasimha Raju lived. Today films have no quality humor and quality songs. For Dr Rajakumar films Narasimhraaju was demanded by the audience. Remembering the dramas played in the villages the Chairman sons indulging and spoiling the songs the harmonium coming to rescue erupted laughter.

Today the songs are meaningless. After one or two times they wash out. It was not like in the olden days. We sing in bathrooms where there is no direction to our likings. Songs of golden days used to rebound to the heart. From humor there was success to cinema. Today humor actor turn heroes and they reach the ‘Trishanku’ position. The humor artists used to take remuneration for hours. Such was the demand. The quality was so good from ‘Namma Narasimharaju’. Kelavaru Badukiddu Satthirthare….Nam Jaggesh heldha haage….Hoge Hakiskond mele we know he lived. Even after death persons like Narasimharaju live. Even after so many years we are doing ‘Guna Gaana’ means Narasimharaju lives.

No one can reach the level of Hasya Chakravarthy stated the Karnataka CM in his address. DCM remembered his days of buying tickets to see films. Today the violence and Krourya, Machchu Longu…People don’t like it. Yet putting such films, such television shows in the small box we are creating a rage of such programs.

Coming out with one fine example DCM said when twin towers crashed thousands of people died. In real life it was repeated quite often. Not a drop of blood was shown. That is real life. Why should film makers show blood on screen? DCM asked – it was very pertinent indeed!

It was unique launch for ‘Eveready Boys’. The DCM said camera, lights, roll action…. Four boys appeared from the side wing. There was a small interaction between the ‘Eveready Boys’ and DCM – all these were stored in the camera.
